Airbrush maintenance tip
Posted by MikeV on Saturday, April 19, 2003 12:19 PM
I recommend everyone who airbrushes with double-action airbrushes get a bottle of Super Lube or Airolube from an airbrush supplier and put it on the front half of your airbrush needle. This product keeps paint from adhering to your needle as much and also lessens tip dry.

I have used it on my airbrush for several years and with paints such as acrylics I can leave paint in the airbrush several days and the paint does not adhere to the needle and the airbrush still works as though nothing were in it. This product also makes the airbrush action smoother and facilitates easier cleaning. It contains no silicone and does not affect paint.

The Super Lube can be found at Dixieart.com
and the Airolube at CoastAirbrush.com

I am in no way affliated with this product or these airbrush shops in any way. I am just passing on a tip that I hope will help you fellow modelers out. Smile [:)]

I have had the same success with Badger's Needle Juice... It really reduces cleaning!

Naplak,

I am not familiar with that Badger product but I would imagine it is probably the same stuff repackaged for Badger.

I believe the Super Lube is made by Medea (Iwata).
