HEY,
Can you stretch clear sprue parts and have them still be somewhat clear?

Yep, just do it with scalding water, works fine. I've also done it over a flame but it's touchy, too close and you'll "carmalize"!

I prefer to stretch sprue over a candle, but to each his own. Yes, clear sprue stretches easily & remains clear after stretching.

HEY,
Cool thanks because i noticed on the 1:1 enzo ferrari, the top of the steering whell is a light bar so if the engine goes above 8500 rpm's, t lights up like a chrstmas tree.lol The kit one comes molded in white and i wanted to make it clear. Thanks again guys.

Just another idea, but you might want to consider clear monofilament--fishing line

HEY,
I did it already, but thanks for the idea. It came out great, but the stuff doesnt like to bend into a round shape, so the top part of the steering wheel is a little lopsided. Its ok, looks good though. Thanks for the tips guys. One thing i noticed is that the clear plastic became more transparent and a bit harder after you heat it up. Just a little thing i found to be interesting.

Randy, it's easier to bend while it's still warm from the stretching. If you let it set for a while, as it cools it trys to revert back to it's original state.

HEY,
I tried bending it into a rounded shape as it was still warm, but it just bent in a "V" shape. But it ended up pretty cool.
