spray future on windows?
Posted by dubix88 on Thursday, August 26, 2004 12:14 PM
HEY,
I have heard of and tried dipping windsheilds and stuff in future to make them more realistic, but i dont have a huge container that i can use to hold future so i can dip the whole windsheild in. I was wondering if you could get the same results from spraying the windows with an airbrush?

Future also can be applied with an ordinary paint brush very easily and is self leveling. It's not necessary to air brush.

a pint Mason jar (w/lid) holds more than enough and is big enough to dip canopies and other clear parts while they are still attached to sprue Propeller [8-]

Future is a floor wax that can be found at any retail store (Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, etc...) . Dipping clear acrylic parts into it fills in the microscopic gaps in the plastic and once it dries, makes the plastic exceptionally clear and crisp. Also works great as a gloss coat for decal preparation. One bottle can go a long way.

HEY,
Alot of people like to use it for attaching PE parts too. If you add a bit of food coloring or Tamiya Smoke paint, you can tint windows with it, and it is handy for your airbrush because you dont need to thin it any, its almost as thin as water.
