Well just to be different, I like Humbrol Matt. Never tried testors dullcoat as it is not so widely available in New Zealand. Humbrol is very matt, and as long as you test it first to make sure it isn't going to dry white (has happened once to me) it is great.

Yep, Testors dullcoat. You might want to apply it in light coats tho so it doesn't attack the acrylic paint.

Also, remember that if you spray dullcoat too heavy it becomes gloss coat! Sad [:(]

I agree, I have used Testors Dullcote very successfully. Has anyone used the acrylic dullcote from Testors? Is it as good? Clean-up is so much easier with acrylic in my airbrush I prefer to use them exclusively.

John, I use krylon short cuts, SCS-080 Clear Matte on all sorts of paints, it's very matt indeed. It comes in a small spray can and seems to be cheap, well, it is here. I must admit I haven't used it with Tamiya paints though, so if you get hold of some (hardware store?) have a practice first on an old kit. Use light coats and don't forget a mask!

What is the best final flat coat to use with Tamiya acrylics? I'm painting armor.
