what is use is automotive pure carnauba wax..works great.

If you can't get Tamiya Wax, try "The Treatment" Model Wax. I've used it on the few cars I've built and it's quite good. Perfect for polishing clear parts like canopies, too. Your LHS may have it. If not, try MicroMark (on order).

hey there
ive been reading some tutorials and they say to acheive a prof finish u have to polsih and wax the car. now i have tamiya polishing compuond (which alrady gives a great shine) but cant find tamiya modelling wax anywhere. i was wondering if u guys could reccomend a substitue i could use? i was thinking bout car wax, but im not sure...

also, while i was browsing my LHS i saw these tamiya polishes/abrasives??? in tubes, similar to tamiya polishing compund. there was 3, coarse, med and fine. they seemed differnt to the polioshing compound and i cant find them in the tamiya 2004 catalog.now i wanna know if these are like a liquid sandpaper? coz im working on some 1/144 airplanes for practice and there are some hard to get spots that im having troubkle sanding. these pastes would be perfect...
