"Sludge Wash" guide
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, September 18, 2004 10:40 AM
Can anyone guide me to a FSM article where a contributor described how to mix and apply his "sludge wash" technique. I searched the FSM website for this term and didn't find it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome!
Just off the top of my head (I'm at work and not near my magazines), I think it's November 01. It was written by Paul Boyer.
Hope this helps!

I think this is what you need. It's under Techniques in the left hand sidebar.

Try this link:

Thanks very much for the guidance and finding the article for me. Thanks also for the kind welcoming notes to the forum. I consider myself an intermediate modeler, but feel in a lot of ways, I'm just beginning as well. It takes me months to complete a 1/72 scale aircraft kit, with minimal modifications. I'm just picky, deliberate and careful. Karl, it's funny you have the A-6 in your signature, because that is my current project. Not bad for an old Fujimi kit.
