friendly block 'o wood
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, September 24, 2004 11:24 AM
i have just finished slicing off sprue from 1/144 missiles. it was a bear to do, until i figured out how i should do it. i got a block o wood about 1" by 4" by 6" and cut on the edge of the block of wood. this way the missile fins dont get in the way or trimming.
you can also use a block of wood to raise any kind of part off the bench so you can hold it properly.

hope this helps

cool! not a bad idea... especially for fragile parts... keep em from beinding or breaking from manhandling them!

Thanks Reg! Smile [:)]

oh.... when you said "friendly block of wood" you weren't like implying you take it on fishing trips and yall have sleep overs and stay up all night telling ghost stories huh?

some people have pet rocks, i have pet blocks of wood. much cheaper than a dog or a cat, no food/vet bills and it doesnt need to be walked and neutered. Big Smile [:D]
