Do a Forum search on "Rust", I think there will be quiet a bit in different threads as there are many products and methods to simulate/create it.

good looking rust

Hi there,

I'm trying to super detail an 0-4-0 steam engine I bashed together out of junk parts. I want the thing to look neglected and rusty and I thought I would ask you people if anyone had a good way to model rust. I painted it with rust, but it is to smooth.

I'm adding a pic to show you how my build is coming. I changed the cab, put on a new bell, scratch built the stack and the lamp and made the front of the boiler out of 2 buttons. The tender was assembled from an old flat car and a shell I had in my junk collection.

I'm still working on it. I need to make the stack fit better and add some mold and moss, a few rust holes and, of course, some course rust.

Any help or comments would be appreciated.
