I've seen a kit of this! Now, if I could just remember where?!

No big secret, Albert. It's a sci-fi subject that I'm pretty sure no one has plans to - The spacecraft 'Cowboy Bebop' from a Japanese OAV series of the same name.

What are you scratchbuilding? it's a fair bet that someone on the forum has the plans you need, or knows a site/man who can help. It would be faster & cheaper for you too. There's no shame in a cry for help to fellow modellers! Or is it a big secret project for a show? I promise I won't tell!

For a future scratchbuilding project I have the Turbocad 3D modeler software (about $40 here), is easy to learn but you can print only the .BMP images, in order to print 2D plans you need to buy an extra software module.

Try www.download.com and search under CAD programs, there are a lot of them and you can use the demo versions before you buy it.

Any recommendations for a softwaretool to create plans and scratch build from? I’ve stalled on a scratch build project because I lack the ability to create/obtain good plans of my subject. I don’t wan’t the most expensive tool out there because this is my first scratch build and I don’t want to get a tool with a steep learning curve. I have not been happy with my hand drawn attempts.

(Umi, please no soft lead pencil jokes!)
