yer on the right track jeff, with the milliput. oldhooker suggested using the plastic panels from greeting gard boxes. considering that christmas isnt that far away these shoudl be in ample supply.

btw, could you resize your sig pic ? im all for sig pics i have several myself, but yours took the better part of 5 minutes to load, and i have a very fast connection.

hey i read something somewhere ( sorry, but i have a bad memory!) about making replacment canopies and the process u describes is the same as the one in the article, but instead of making the block they used the original canopies, so i think ur going about it the best way

Jeff

It should work but might take a couple of tries before you're satisfied. It's like most things in modeling, takes a little practice to get it right.

Scratch Buiding a Canopy

I may have to scratch build a couple of canopies. I was thinking how to achieve this. First I would make a solid block shape of canopy using milliput mounted on a post then using the heat method streach a clear plasic sheet over the mould. Has anyone ever tried this would it work or am I being crazy? even beter has anyone any better ideas. I am looking at a 1:72 scale problem here.
