Its actually pretty easy
cut the disk to size, spin it once on a drill sand disk, or spin it lightly on sandpaper. the trick is just to put small circular scratches on the disk.
lay your motion mask over the disk and spray lightly, you want a little heavier coverage in the middle and less on the edges.
let it cure and cover the mask in a way to leave open areas where you have prop stripes, spray a light coat over the stripes area.
let dry, remove the mask and lightly dry brush the scratches on the rest of the disk and there you go.
I also take the actual kit prop and cut it down to a tappered stub, it gives it a "thickness" at the hub.
