Sign - Ditto [#ditto]. Scott said it all really. Resin is brilliant to use I reckon (having built around 40 1/43rd racing/rally car kits) but care needs to be taken when handling because it can be fragile. Once the part has been removed from the sprue it can be cleaned up much the same as plastic eg scrapping moulding lines with a knife blade etc.

Lots and lots of posts in this section about using resin parts. Do a quick search and you'll find lots of posts.

The best way I've found to cut them loose is to use a razor saw. Resin is very soft and breaks easily so be careful.

You will need to use either cyanoacrylate (CA) glue or epoxy to glue them in place. Priming helps the paint stick much better, especially acrylics.

Resin dust IS dangerous. Use a dust mask to prevent breathing the particles and clean the dust up when you are done. Wet sanding will help hold the dust down to.

I just bought my first detail kit for a cockpit (Verdilin) for Hasagawa F-15E
in 1/48. How do I remove the pieces from the sprue, what kind of glue, do you have to prime before painting. Is there any danger working with resin parts.
