If you haven't applied the final sealing coat, the decals should come off with the scotch tape without too much trouble.

Thanks!

Wil do the Scotchtape first, then Micro Sol for the remaining bits. I have future underneath, but have not given it a glosscover yet, does this matter?

Cheers

By mistake I ended up with some body parts in a dish with water in the bottom (don't ask!!) and when I noticed them after a few days the decals were floating nicely and no damage to the paint but they weren't overcoated with Future or any other gloss.

Also, scotch tape will remove decals. Just burnish it down and pull it off quickly and the decal will be gone. Just be careful because it may pull the paint off if you've used acrylic. I've never had it happen myself but it's something to be aware of. Tho's method is a new one to me so I'll have to try it sometime.

micro-sol will take them off... just paint it along the decal until it starts bubbling up... if you've futured the model as well take the future off with windex first as microsol won't penetrate the future..

If you don't have any Microsol I am not sure what works... a lot of hobby shops carry it as well as being able to order it online from squadron or greatmodels... micros-set and micro-sol make for some fantastic decal work so if you don't have any it's worth your while!!!

Stripping Decals...

My F-104 needs a new decaljob. I have the decals, but how do I get the old ones of?

They are looooong, along the fuselage from the air intake all the way to the tail pipe. I do not fancy sanding it down since that means a complete repaint.

Any givers? (As opposed to takers)

Cheers
