I tend to prefer wire because it is three dimensional. I don't know the specific diameter, but what I use is picture hanger wire. I unravel a single strand from the bunch, and it seems to be about the right size.

Solder also works well, you can get lots from Radio Shack.

20 thousands inch brass rod, available at just about any LHS. That works out to about 3/4 inch in 1/35th by the time you get the paint on it.

I am soon starting my Tamiya 1/35 King Tiger Porsche wnated opinions on wire vs PE. I have both Eduard and Lionroar PE kits - both both seem to use flat cross section instead of round. Should I use these instead of wire? If wire, what materials/diameters would you recommend.
