I've used tissue paper and toliet paper and both have worked fine. I also like to use tea bags with out the tea. They are great for making a flat tarp or flag.

I've used both kleenex & toilet paper. they both work fine, just can't get them too wet. The seat covering below is one layer of kleenex with white glue solution, painted after it dried...

Good old Kleenex, its hard to beat. I've tried other materials like what Foster7155 and Cudamav suggested but I've had good luck with Kleenex.

They sell it at most department stores in the area where they would have greeting cards or gift bags :)

There are some modelers who do use plain old facial tissue. I've never had luck with it. I use the tissue paper that comes in clothing boxes. It's also available at most arts and crafts stores.

I've been reading, Shepherd Paine, about making your own sleeping bags, tarps, etc. to use tissue paper. What kind of tissue paper? Surely they don't mean Kleenex, do they?
