I wanted to improve the Tamiya cables on this 1/35 kit so I got some Karaya 0.9mm (turned out to be too short so I am waiting for new ones to arrive). I did not like the idea of having an accurate cable simply joined to the resin ends so I went about scratch bulding the ends. First I cut off the 'eye' of the end and ground away the plastic 'cable', keeping the hollow channel for the cable to fit. Then used copper tube to form the main part of the end, ran the cable through it, around the eye, and back into the tube to finish. I have not fixed or painted them yet. All in all, took about 75 min to do all four.
