rotary tool paint mixer.
A couple of weeks ago I posted in anouther thread about an idea that I had.
Now I am sure that alot of us tried to think of a way to mix paint with a rotary tool but didn't want to fling paint all over the shop because of the high speeds.
My friends I have found the way.
Get your self a rotary tool with very low speed.
I use a dremmel mini mite.
#1)Next take a piece of sprue(the frame that the model parts come on) about three inchs long.
#2) put heat to one end of the sprue until it is soft.
#3)Flaten out the soft end of the sprue with a pair of pliers or anouther tool.
#4) Now take the piece and put it in the rotary tool.
This may require that change the collets in the tool or shaving down the piece to fit.
once the tool is assembled place the bit in to your paint jar then turn on the tool.
If you turn on the tool before its put in the jar you will be a mess.
Set the tool on the slowest speed you got and your done.
I have tried this on old paints as well and it will bring that 10 year paint back to life.
Try it out I think you will be pleased.
