1. what do u use to put white walls around the wheels? b/c i started working on a new model today and i want to do that to the wheels

I would rig up a machine (I use an old erector set motor) and attach the wheel to that. have it spin, and use a paintbrush until you get the desired effect. I don't know how else to do it other than that or just going very slowly with a brush

2. for them aircraft poeple im goin to start workin on a aircraft model tomorrow but how do u paint the body of the plane when it is all together do u tape off some stuff then paint or what??

You can either mask it off, or you can paint it before you glue the piece one. This is what I do....i paint it while it's on the tree, then I touch up the parts i sanded off.

3. i cant paint inside the house anymore b/c i got some reptile's in the same room where i work on my model cars so...i wanna know it startin to get nice out and i wanna know is it the best get something to make a booth out of for outdoors so...nothin can get on the model when im paint and i dont paint onto this new house too lol and i do use a airbrush too

I can't help you here...i don't use an airbrush

4. any1 of u know if they sale the little detail paint brush's at walmart b/c i wanna do some really good detail work on my models this year

If they have an arts and crafts section, chances are they have them. Any arts and crafts place should have them.

5. test fitting parts together what do u use to do that with? b/c i did many cars last year and i run into alot of problems that parts dont fit right after they are painted or not painted

Always do a dry check of the fit before painting. If it doesn't fit, do some appropriate sanding or whatever it takes to make the fit correct, then paint. After it's dry, fit again. If all is still well, then glue it. Make sure you have something around to clamp things together (IE: rubber bands, C-clamps, Hairties....etc)

1) If you have a circle template, use that to cut masks for the white wall. Cut one mask for the inside diameter and one for the outside. The hard part will be getting the masks centered and lined up on the tire. Be sure to use acrylic flat white because enamels don't stick well to model tires.

2) I assemble the airplane as far as I can before painting it. That includes the canopy, wings, vertical tail(s) and horizontal "tails". If it is a multi-colour scheme, then I mask where I have to. If my model is a swing-wing aircraft like the F-14, then I paint the wings seperately. Basically, I mask the colour line then tape off what won't be painted the next colour to avoid overspray. Always be sure to use a good quality painter's masking tape because cheap tape is too sticky and will pull up the paint with it.

3) When I paint outside, I don't bother with a "booth". I just use my stand to hold the model, spray the paint and then bring the painted part inside to dry under a box. If you want, you can find a large cardboard box and use that as a booth to protect your models while drying outside. With the box lying on it's side, the folding lids will be able to close off the front and keep dust out.

4) I can't help you with this one.

5) To test fit parts I just put them together without glue and see how they fit. If there is a step, sometimes just removing the alignment pins is enough to get the fit right. If not, then you'll have to glue them together and sand the seam and then paint. As DoWBaseball pointed out, keep a good supply of "clamps" around. Clothes pins make excellent clamps for smaller parts. Basically, I treat each sub-assembly as a model by itself. Get each assembly ready-for-paint, paint it and then put it all together.

Hope all this helps.Smile [:)]

for the white wall on tires, why don't u use those white felt pens like they use for the real thing (over here you can buy them at the local bike shop) they come with 3 fine pointed tips, just exellent, i even use them for the white lettering on modeltires Wink [;)]

as for detail brushes Wal MArt whould have something in the craft section... I think the smallest they have in the model section is like a 3/0 or something.. and it's not tapered well at the end for detail

I assemble the fuselage, and wings on my models then paint the main color, after drying 24 hors I mask off there I want the other color to go and paint that... then I put the detail stuff on like landing gear and intakes etc...

I think bstrumps idea about painting outdoors would work fine -

For me the first thing I do with any part is test fit, then I test fit, then I do it again... you learn how the part has to be help when you do glue it, as well as seeing gaps etc... that you'll need to fill once its glues... and like was said earlier you can eliminate a lot of problems in advance by a little sanding...
