storing CA glue

this happend to me with a bottle I stopped using. Maybe if you just turn it around every other day, it might keep from settleing. Cant garantee this though.

Storing it in a very cool location (like a refridgerator) seems to extend the shelf life. I also don't buy it by the bottle or can. I suppose if I used CA exclusively as a cement, I would, but I don't so can get by on smaller containers of the stuff. I usually use the 3" long tube with the pen tip applicator as I seem to be able to use most of it before it goes south.

I squeeze the air out of mine before I put the cap back on. I can't say for sure this helps, as I've never really tested it with controls and whatnot. I feel like it really helps however. I can't remember the last time I've had a clog.

I switched brands, and have noticed a large difference. I use plasti-zap now. I used to use the cheap LHS brand ones, and they were a non stop battle.

I keep mine in the fridge. I always make sure the glue has flowed back to the bottom of the bottle and I wipe the build up off the nozzle tip. I also make sure it is standing upright in the fridge. Even though I buy the big bottles, I never have any problems with the glue drying out or getting gummy.

Keep it in the refrigirator. I have I have a number of bottles stored for over 5 years which I still use.
