I'm looking forward to receiving my pack of resin & silicon rubber too... One thing that I've been thinking about with respect to the best method of moulding complex parts, is how to make the moulding plugs? I was thinking of white-gluing a piece of styrene stock to the bottom of (for example) a seat where it could just be razor sawed off, but what about shapes that have detail on all sides? Is it just a case of finding the side with the least detail & using that as the mould plug side?
I've noticed on professionally moulded resin you sometimes get a wafer thin joint between tiny parts. How's that accomplished?
