Teeny-tiny details

Handling: Tweezers, good long handled ones. Get some straight tip and some curved tip ones of both types (squeeze to open, squeeze to close).

Storage: film canisters or one of the small compatmentalized plastic boxes that latches shut. Look for the ones that have completely seperate compartments when closed so if it falls and hits on its side stuff wont go over the dividers. I have one that is about 8" x 8" with 12 small and 1 large compartment, made by Stack-on, from K-mart (I think). the comp. have a radiused bottom corner so things can be slid from the bottom right out the top.

Well, if it's because I've been interrupted, I leave them on the hobby table. Or, i stick them to a blob of beeswax on my hobby table. To store, I stick them in a matchbox(one of the 500-count matchboxes) that is now empty.(No, I don't smoke, the starter on my barbecue doesn't work!)

I've got plastic containers of all shapes and sizes sitting around my storage room. They work perfect for everything from itty bitty parts to stuffing a 3/4 finished Shermie in.

I too have entirely too many clear plastic boxes, film canisters... and masking tape has worked as well!

For handling I also use fine tipped precision tweezers.

For temporary storage tape works good and for long term I have a few containers and also use empty perscription bottles.

For storage: hinged clear plastic cases for baseball cards. (2 for a buck in most card stores) They come in different sizes and let you see what's in there without opening it.

FOR HANDLING: If i am painting the part i will leave it on the plastic tree untill it dries. This allows for an easy handle to hold on to whil also keeping your hands out of the way.
FOR STORAGE: My workbench has drawers upon drawers that i have taken the liberty to separate into little compartment for just this reason

jewler supply houses have little round plastic container for keeping semi and precious stones in. These work perfect. They also have little tiny ziploc bags for the same application. (Do not, I repeat do not keep those little bags in your car. Just so happens, crack dealers like to use them too. If you get stopped you will be searched and your vehicle will be searched if the cop sees them on the seat.)
Other than that I keep spares in one of those pigeon hole cabinets with the little drawers in them and assemblys or misc parts for a project are kept in those ziploc containers they now sell as a cheap alternative to tupperware.

Little resealable bags and then i stick them with masking tape to the inside of my tool box in neat little rows!!! You dont have to fish about and open them to see whats inside.
