Scratchbuilding and kitbashing
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 1:13 PM
I've a 1/72 "what-if" project in mind but my subject, the Sikorsky S-92, is not in kit or resin form (that I've found anyway). So my only option is to kit-bash and scratch-build. I have never done either.

What are some references for these two challenging topics?

Thx,

Ahoy B,

If you're serious about scratchbuilding, I recommend one of the following books by John Alcorn:

1. Scratchbuilt!: A Celebration of the Static Scale Airplane Modeler's Craft
2. The Master Scratchbuilders: Their Aircraft Models and Techniques

Both of these books are available from Amazon and they are really super books.
