Vacuum formed canopies
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, July 17, 2005 12:21 PM
Hello everyone,

Would you like to share your secrets about how do you prepare vacuum formed canopies from cutting to painting. I'm working with my first Falcon set and I'm afraid to ruin it.

Thanks!!

Hey Greenghost-I'm working on my first vacuform canopy too! It's like working with a cicada skin. Some close trimming with little scissors and some file boards will get you there. Remember to stuff the canopy with silly putty to keep from squashing it. A forum member of much renown (sp?) has a site with info: http://swannysmodels.com
