I want to be able to make them in different scales so I need the dimensions of a 1:1 drum.

A standard 55 gallon steel drum is approximately 23 inches in diameter and 35 inches tall.

You can also take 3 soda bottle caps and glue them together so it looks like a drum and sand it smooth or whatever to make it look good.

I want to be able to make the drums in different scales so once I have worked out the sizes I can then replicate them as necessary. I intend to use thin aluminium from a drink can, then use cut off sprue for the bung in the top. If it works out I will post the pics and dimensions etc
