I just started building my first model kit since I was a kid. It's the 1/48 Revell Spitfire Mk II. Anyway, I have a really silly question... the manufacturer stamped a copyright notice on the underside of the model (© RV-MM LLC 1994 CHINA). Since I want to make this an accurate model, my first instinct would be to file off the text, but I thought I'd see what the common practice is for this kind of thing among serious model builders? Maybe there's a benefit to being able to quickly id the base kit later on?
