I'm just getting back into the world of modeling with my brother. It has been since the late 80's since either one of us have built a model. After spending the last week or so reading mags and checking fourms, I've discovered that there are numerous approaches, new paints, and techniques for everything. So I have a couple of basic questions that I want to clarify before I get in over my head.
1. I bought TMM Aluminum Metalizer paint for aircraft. Do I need any primer for this? How many coats? After buffing should I use Future or Metalizer Sealer? Can other paints (Acrylic/Enamel) be used over the Metalized parts? How about paints over the Future?
2. Once painting of the main aircraft body, I've noticed people mentioned a gloss coat before decaling. Can I use Future for this? Seal with Future before decaling? Do I seal with Future before washing or after?
3. After decaling, washing, weathering do I seal with a final dull coat or Future?
Thanks for the help in advance. I'm sure that I will have additional questions.
