                        Paint should be removed from surfaces that will be glued. This also stands true for using white glues. Just take some fine sandpaper and sand the joints. You can also scrape it off with an x-acto knife.

                        Yeah, Elmers is ok if your on a low budget, but far too many times has my canopy fallen off after a couple of months... use the Testors glue, but NOT PLASTIC CEMENT!!!! This will destroy the clear look of the canopy around the rails.

                        Testors makes a glue specifically for this, it is in a square, angled bottle, and bonds 100x better and faster than elmers.

                        Use a white glue such as Elmer's or Testors Cement for Clear Parts. Just apply glue to the canopy and where it sits. Place the canopy on, and let it dry.
