Books/references on scrathbuilding
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 8:27 PM

Does anyone know of any good books or other references covering the basics of scratch building?  I am lookiing to build/improve structures for a 1/500 scale model airport.  Mostly concerned with best techniques for working with sheet styrene and other plastics.

Thanks

David, I would check out www.amazon.com. They have many, many books, and I'm sure I have seen some for the type of subject you are talking about. I hope this helps and Good luck!

Hello David,

Try looking for the Basic and Advanced Tips and Techniques for Styrene Modeling "How to Build, Paint and Finish Realistic Models" book, it is published by Evergreen Scale Models. And goes for about $14.95 USD.

Here is a link to the Evergreen site and book.
