Hi,
I was just wondering if I could subsitute a matte finish with a matte varnish.......are they the same thing........becuase it says that it should be used on furniture......but would it look as good as a matte finish?

Probably not a good idea ... some varnishes would contain chemicals that would turn your model in a molten, blubbering mass of plastic.

Unless you want to build scale targets "after the hit". Shermanfreak's right. Most varnishes are too "hot' for use on plastics or resins.
