                        Making a two part silicone mold to cast

                        a wheel insert. I am making a resin copy of a wheel insert for a friend and decided to take pictures of it to create a little how to power point presentation for the web.

                        I have the first half of the mold poured and Sunday I will pour the other half. Hope to have presentation done by next weekend.

                        Two part mold didn't do so well, so going to make a single part mold instead.

                        Single part mold came out just fine. Casted several wheel covers. Will post pics shortly.

                        Here is the link to the pics I took while making the mold and the part. I had to do a one piece mold as my attempt at a two piece failed miserably. But hey, live and learn!
