Very fine sandpaper (1600 grade for instance) could do the trick. You'll find such fine sandpaper in automotive shops. If you are looking for a really high shine, polish your clear coat(s) with Turtle Wax or similar kind of wax. It's best having numerous coats of clear though, cause polishing will get through to the bare plastic quite fast!

I want to clean my final paint job to remove erroneous fingerprints or whatever finds its way under a clearcoat...

What do I use to clean my model before a coat of future?

I use Tamiya acrylics.

Thanks

James
