I don't think you would find dragonteeth on the road. Dragonteeth were put in the fields and other areas in order to force armor and vehicles to use the roads. The roads were easier to defend and artillery would be zeroed in on the road. Mines were usually placed on the road just past where the vehicles were forced to avoid the dragonteeth.
Roads in Western Europe had only the major roads paved. Most other roads were dirt with oil sprayed on them to keep the dust down. It wasn't untill after the war that the roads were improved.
