What is lead foil, and where do I get it?

Finkster, there is lead foil around the tops of most wine bottles. Maybe a local restaurant can help you out.

What do you need it for? If scale is not a problem...go to a brickyard...get some lead flashing!

Most things you'd use lead foil for you can use copper sheet instead. Go to your local recycling place that buys back metals, they may have some of the little lead x-ray tabs that the dentist puts in your mouth to x-ray your teeth. They will also have all kinds of copper wire strands in different gauges, brass bits and things. It can be a modeler's treasure chest on days before they ship their metals out to the smelter. won't cost much either......
