                        do I have to remove the paint from photo-etched rails and the deck of the ship to glue them?

                        Not necessarily. Super glue holds fine on most painted surfaces. Make sure you overcoat with a flat of some sort after glueing everything in place.

                        use a toothpick or needle to place a small amount of glue (pin head size).
