I am a first time modeler who has bit off more than...
Building a Gato Sub 1:96 scale wood of all things. smoothing her out has been tricky. Bondo is great but the fumes, the fumes. I'm about to try Durham's Rock Hard but I'm unsure it's going to work. Thanks

buy anything up to 2000 for sure even 10K cloth.
use a respirator mask to protect from fumes and fine wood grain.
taking care of your health is priority.just look at the warning signs on all glue products.it is full of them.

Durham's putty may shrink and crack off. The Bondo may stink but its still the best thing. Even painters use it on stubborn wood repairs.
