dadfad,
Hi, TAMIYA POLYESTER PUTTY Item: 87027 is more of an sculpting putty. It is for making custom mods and build ups.
For basic filling needs to fill up mold lines and scratches you should pick up TAMIYA PUTTY (BASIC TYPE) Item: 87053. It is not only much cheaper, it does not need an hardener. It is a high quality, the type of Tamiya quality that you come to expect.
There are two other putties, EPOXY SCULPTING PUTTY Item: 87052 and TAMIYA EPOXY PUTTY Item: 87051. Both fall into the same usage that the TAMIYA POLYESTER PUTTY Item: 87027.
See the pics here on the US Tamiya site http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/tools/putties.html
Hope this helps.
