When I drybrush, I mix a little black enamel with artist's Titanium White oil paint. The slower drying time of the oil paint allows the drybrushing to be "worked in" for a smooth highlighting effect. You can apply successive coats, sach a little lighter, to create something that is not "stark" or too "contrasty." Hope this helps.
