Thinner for Model Master Acrylic

I use 50% Alcohol and 50% water.  If you only use Alcohol, the paint will dry faster in the brush then on the model.  As a side note, I would suggest that you be sure to mix (shake) your color a large amount.  Testors/Floquil have a pigment setelement issue and the pigments will settle at the bottom, much worse than any other acrylics that I have used.

Just so as to not disappoint Jesse, I'll chime in with my success story of using Tamiya Thinner with ModelMaster Acryl paint.

I have never had any issues with it, either with thinning paint for immediate airbrushing needs or for long term storage of the thinned paint.  Although you didn't ask about the paints themselves, I have never had any issues with mixing Tamiya paint and/or X21 Flat Base and  ModelMaster Acryls.

That said, if I were in a hobby shop to to buy acrylic thinner for ModelMaster Acryls, I would first reach for the Model Master brand.  On the other hand, if you want to get painting and already have Tamiya thinner on hand, got for it.

Testors doesn't recommend using Tamiya thinner with their Acryl paint.  I suggest using Model Master Acryl thinner.  Although, I'm sure someone will be along to say you can use Tamiya thinner.  You'll always get two different answers to the same question on these forums.  Stick to what the manufacturer recommends and you can't go wrong.
