Badger 200SG....I'm confused!

You might have wanted the 200G instead.... it has a small color cup. I use that one, and it's great.

That little notch on the SG, as far as I know, is the reservoir. The only thing I've been able to figure is that folks who use it for nails only needs a very small amount of their stuff in it.

So, yeah.... fill it up, turn it on, and paint. Then repeat. And repeat.

Hate it for you.... I almost ordered that one too.

It's a good airbrush, no doubt, but without a color cup, it seems to me it has limited use for modeling beyond very subtle and small detailing.

Yeah....thank you Jon. I was afraid of that. Should have researched. But, I paid between $10-15 for it.....so I'll find a use for it. (Besides "wash, rinse, repeat!)

I just had some stuff where a single action would be perfect and simple. Oh, well.....I have others!

But for the price you paid it's a fine brush for detail work where you only need a dab of paint. You'll be surprised at how much coverage that little cup will give you, just don't expect to paint an entire model with it.

That's true Bill! With the 200G, if I load up the cup almost full, will cover a 1/48 P-47 upper surfaces. (I just used it to do that yesterday!) It's really showed me how I was using too much paint in my siphon feed cups. So I bet the 200SG will cover the little stuff pretty well- tires, props, interiors, etc.

I use a 100SG with a fine tip for detail work, so I'm assuming the 200SG is designed to be used in the same way.

I load the cup, if you can call it that, with either a paint stirrer or a small syringe, the type you get from the chemists for giving kids medicine.

I used to worry about the paint running out but it doesn't and I wouldn't be without my SG now.
