Hi, Shaun
First, let me extend greetings to you as a new forum member! Hope you enjoy it here.

In answer to your question, there is currently a thread in progress on this forum dealing with spray booths. You might want to check it out. Pay close attention to the recommendations, and then read pops' post on what can happen with a cheapo home built booth.
I would also encourage you to do a search for spray booths. You'll find a multitude of suggestions and ways to go about building a booth.
Lastly, don't throw away the option of buying a booth rather than trying to put one together. Sometimes, the extra money spent in buying a booth far outweighs the liabilities encountered in trying to cut corners on a home-built job.
After you've searched and read, come back here if you have specific questions, and we'll all give your questions our best shot at good answers! Good luck, and we look forward to hearing from you. If you would like to e-mail me personally, please feel free to do so.

Hi Shaun

I built my own using ideas from the artical that appeared in the Dec 2000 FSM issue. It took a little calling around but I was able to locate just the right sized fan. In all, it ran me about $250 (CAN) to put it all together. Mine has a 495 cfm fan and measures approx 24" wide, 16" high, and 18" deep with a built in work light.

Try it! Its really not very difficult!

Hi,

I want to get a spray booth for spray painting my car models. Those tiny dusts really screw up the shinny finish on my models. Also, I don't want to get cancer. The Aztek spray booth is very nice, but it's also way out of my budget($350+). Are there any cheap alternative?

Does anyone know?

Thanks.

Shaun
