Hi Johan,
Is your H&S Evolution a gravity feed brush?
A change in equipment usually entails a learning curve, and in some cases, when you're used to a particular setup, a certain amount of unlearning.
You're probably using pressure settings and thinning ratios that you're used to using with your old equipment. With the ability to reduce the air pressure, you'll find that you have a lot more control. The only thing is, it takes a little practice to achieve it. If you're used to using propel cans, you're used to having to work from a certain distance to prevent paint runs etc. Dialing down the air pressure will allow you to get closer. Getting closer means you can get sharper demarcations. However, lower pressure also means you need to thin your paint a little more. Thinner paint means increased risk of runs.
Try the following (not all at once, one change at a time to explore the differences):
- Reduce your pressure to about 15PSI
- Thin your paint more - try 2 parts thinner to 1 part paint
- Use a lighter touch on the trigger and get up close and personal
Then:
