A good choice, IMHO. In military modeling, think how silly this product is. You add it to gloss paint to make it flat, then you have to apply a gloss coat to apply decals before applying a clear flat to get everything flat again!

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Cool deal on the Buff!!  I do recall that ChuckW used it in a mix for some kind of wash or fade. Have to go back and look for that.

Buff is the appropriate color for the upperworks of pre/post Spanish-American War USN ships (during the war they went overall gray).

NOTE:  Flat Base is not a paint.  It is not a color.  It is an additive.  Its purpose is to give gloss paint a satin or flat finish.   Mix it with the paint before application.   Do not overpaint with straight flat base unless you want a frosty-white appearance.

Buff works quite well for the base color of US Army WW2 webgear and canvas leggings...

If you can call "Buff" and "Flat Base"  Colors...

so I had to make a trip to the LHS, for ONE bottle of Paint...meaning, I have to buy more than just one thing, to make up for the Gas and Tolls...

so as part of today's stash, I grabbed a Buff and a Flat Base in Tamiya.

now.....what the heck do I do with them ?  Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Shock [:O]
