Moron of the year award....

...goes to me.

So I mix some MM Flat black acryl and some MM Euro Grey acryl.  Then I thin it with Tamiya thinner (I meant to use the MM thinner).  It's not mixing very easily at first and the paint comming out of the nozzle of the airbrush is starting to gum up.  So I clean it and use the MM thinner but I get the same results...plus the paint isn't cleaing up very well.

Then it hit me...I was actually mixing Flat Balack enamel with Euro grey acryl.  I eventually got it cleaned up but it was a pain.

On a side note the paint on the model turned out ok.

Ouch! I never did that but one time I bought enamel when I wanted acrylic, then I used it! When trying to get the stuff off my brush it seemed awfully sticky. Then I saw the label. DOH!

Hey, I've done that before. There is usually a couple of beers mixed in there, too...

Hell, at least you remembered to thin it at all...

Awhile back I had all my M1A1 road wheels off the sprue, cleaned up and glued together and after all that, all I wanted to do was start shooting MM flat black. Took me about 5 minutes of scratching my head and wondering why it was barely flowing and what did come out was all thick and clumpy...Dunce [D)]

Gave me an excuse to break the 360 down for a full blown-cleaning I guessWhistling [:-^]
