Make up a solution of 50% Distilled Water, 25% Windex and 25% Simple Green. Great airbrush cleaner for cleaning your brush after acrylics and future.

To give credit for when it's due, I learned this trick after reading a post by MikeV.

White glue is the way to go.

Thanks y'all.  I'll go for the windex when I put some through my AB.  I dipped the canopy of the AMT F-4G Wild Weasle I just finished and it looks great.  Now that the clear clasic has been coated, is there a preferred glue for affixing it to the airplane once the future has dried?  Should I just use white glue like I would have normally done with clear parts?

dmk nailed it, though I don't bother with the hot water, just Windex. Future is nothing more than a clear acrylic paint.

Windex is best. Simple Green also works.

Ross Martinek A little strangeness, now and then, is a good thing… Wink

I use the same cleanup method that I use for acrylic paints

I keep a paint jar full of 50% hot water and 50% Windex. Spray it through the airbrush into a soda bottle, wipe the tip off with a Q-tip dipped in the Windex mixture, wipe out the paint cup too and call it a day.

Once in a while take it all apart and wipe the parts down with Lacquer thinner.

Although this has probably been covered here before, I coudn't find it while searching.  I got myself some future to try for the first time and am wondering what is the best way to clean up after spraying it through my AB.  I'm going to try dipping a clear canopy tonight and will let it wick away excess onto a paper towel.  I here it makes for a nice clear, shiny finish on canopies.  My main concern is cleaning the airbrush.
