Badger Velocity vs 100LG
Posted by yuvitz on Monday, December 8, 2008 10:56 AM

Im thinking of purchasing the new badger velocity, my only concern is the fine needle.
maybe the 100LG is a beter all arownd choice.
im using Paasche VL with the no-1 needle, i'd like the new airbrush to be able to draw slightly thinner lines and to be more accurate.

Thanks!
Y.

I've wondered the same thing.  The Velocity has a .21mm needle tip combo and the 100LG with the fine tip has an approximate .26mm needle tip combo.  If anyone has tested the two, let us know (MikeV?).

Contact Ken at Badger and ask him.

I have both. The needles are similar, the tips they use are similar - but a very diffrent break down. For the best fine lines - Velocity, as good for all round work as the 100LG but can get a better fine line imho.

Do yourself a favor and ask Ken. You're paying about the same in the end either way. I did a review on the Velocity here.

Hope this helps you with your decision.
