Mail order paints
Posted by stindle on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 10:01 AM
Where is a good site on the web to buy paints. At a good price. I can get the 1oz bottles local for .88 each but the selection is better on the web.

The 2oz bottles are $2.49 so I know there are better deals on the net but kinda not wanting to get riped off. Any thoughts would be great!
I was looking to buy the RAF color set.

Thanks

There are a few places to get paints online I cant remember any off hand....but I will look around some.

One not though unless your buying Acrylics its really not worth it as the enamels are considered HAZMAT here in the US and can only be shipped via ground at an added shipping charge that most suppliers charge....notice I said most not all. I'll dig around in the Favorites some and try to get back here to post some links....

Also you didnt mention which brand paints your asking about or prefer....based on the prices you have listed Im assuming your asking about Testors/Model Masters...

Just about any good web hobby shop can suppy you with paint - Most carry Testors but if you want a Japanese brand (Gunge or Tamiya) or British (Humbrol), you may have to search a little - as far as enamels are concerned, they will have to go UPS, but that shouldn't be much of a problem. Just start looking and good luck
