I pretty much use the same pressure (12-15 psi) and adjust the consistancy of the paint to work. At least when I'm using my gravity fed Badger 100LG. I up that pressure to 15-20 when using my siphon fed 150 or 200-20.

For Future I use a knock-off siphon fed Badger 350 external action. That dictates a higher pressure, so I crank it up to 20-25 psi. I don't thin Future, but some people do.

I only spray acrylics, so someone else will have to answer for other types of paint.

So long folks!

Ok, sorry for the bad pun. Wink [;)]

Ok, so I have yet to use my airbrush for model purposes yet, just practice.  But I understand that certain pressures are best for certain circumstances.  So can you folks give a "general" breakdown of pressures for given uses.  For example, I know you can generaly use Future out of the bottle, but is it smart to use the same pressures you would for regular reduced paints?  Would you use different pressures for acrylic vs. lacqure paints?  What about if you are doing wide coverage of an area vs. fine detail work?

Sorry if this is a noob question, but so far I have not run across a topic that would difinitively answer this question.
