It is possible that plasticizer has migrated from the plastic through the primer. If that is the case, washing should fix the problem.

It is also possible that the surface of the primer is dusty, at least on a microscopic level. This will cause the same problem. A light sanding, followed by washing in detergent and water, should solve this problem.

Ross Martinek A little strangeness, now and then, is a good thing… Wink

Hey guys,

I'm working on a cheap 1/48 scale Hobby World UH-1B Iroquois and I'm trying to brush paint the back seat netting Tamiya's Flat Red, XF-7 Flat Red (acrylic.)  My problem is that I've sprayed Krylon's Primer Gray as a base coat, then tried to brush paint the flat red, and it's not adhering.  I've brush painted Model Master's Flat Black (acrylic) on the console with no problem.  What gives?!  Thanks for the help.
