Yea for new compressor!

I was going to wait until I got the thing in and had a chance to play with it but I am just too darn excited. I bite the bullet and ordered a Iwata Power Jet Lite. I know this may be a little more than I need for plastic but I want to have the ability to do larger works like my RC helicopter canopies and some RC car bodies. I also wanted to have enough CFM's to run a small Iwata airgun for clear coats. After reading everything here and a few airbrush sites, and beating up every tech spec I could get my hands on I landed on the Power Jet Lite.

Here were my main concerns,

I needed a quiet compressor that wouldn't take up too much room as I live in an apartment.
I wanted a regulator and not just the bleed air water trap for consistant low PSI work.
I wanted an all self contained unit that didn't have hoses and other doodads hanging off it.
I really wanted a twin unit for the extra CFM's.
I wanted to keep my Iwata Revolution happy by staying with brand.

After looking at everything I could I decided the Lite was the compressor for me. The only thing it doesn't have that I would like is an tank. Hopefully I made the right choice and will be happy.

What say you???

Got the thing in and it's awesome. I set the pressure to 30lbs to start with as all I have to spray is Createx from a different project. It pumps out the flow and the PSI stays put. It does cycle on and off a lot but it is smooth and never pulses. I tried PSI's ranging from 12 to 60. I am happy with my choice and I know it will give me years of good use.

Now I need to buy some hobby paint to do my 1/48 Tamiya Jadgpanther.

You got yourself an excellent compressor. I believe the Power Jet Lite is equivalent to the Paasche DA400, Sparmax T-2000 (no cage) and the Revell Kompressor "Standard Class" (with cage).

It is powerful enough and rock steady for 2 airbrushes. You will not need to add an airtank. I did that for the Paasche DA400. It lengthened the duty cycle time, but not much else in performance because the compressor is so good to begin with.
