KEILAU/TC-700 Compressor
Posted by Maximus DukusErectus on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 12:23 AM
ALOHA from pipeline....just kidding Keilau, never got to surf it.You had asked me awhile back to give my 2 cents worth concerning my purchase of the AIRBRUSH DEPOT "TC-700".....well.....I am stoked! This is my first compressor with a tank and I freaking love it,it only kicks in when it drops to about 40 PSI,and it gives me a little peace and quiet inbetween. It has a 1/3 HP motor which is more than enough for me...AND NO PULSING!!!Sorry it took so long to review it,my seven year old son" Minimus DukusErectus "did a 180 degree on me.We spent soooo much money on 1/72 Dragon,Revell,Pegasus, etc for our wargaming table and then one of my employees put the 'WARHAMMER FANTASY" bug in his ear.Well I have been chained to my modeling table, hand painting LIZARDMEN and WARRIORS OF CHAOS figures for two months now and occasionally running something through my airbrush to keep me sane(sry...rambling).I really recommend a compressor with a tank, and I love the NO NAME TC-700 and it was well worth the $199.00.
You tawking to me?............You tawking to me?

Maximus, Thank you for your compressor data point. It is wonderful that you like it so much. I always suspect that the AB-Depot TC-700 is the FengHua AS-196 with a cage.

It is the same design as Sparmax TC-620A. For the same compressor engine, Sparmax (Taiwan) calls it 1/6 horsepower and FengHua (China) 1/3 horsepower.

How quiet is the TC-700? Can you tell the place of manufacturing of the compressor? Keep us posted in the next 2/3 years on how well it wears.
